Indication:
Left shoulder instability.

Technique:
MRI Left Shoulder

Report:
The biceps tendon is located within the bicipital groove. The subscapularis, supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendons are intact.

There is a large Hill-Sachs defect involving the posterior superior lateral aspect of the humeral head, measuring 4 centimetres by 6 millimetres. A Bankart lesion is identified involving the anterior inferior glenoid.

These appearances are consistent with previous anterior dislocation.

Impression:
The findings are consistent with previous anterior shoulder dislocation, demonstrating a large Hill-Sachs defect and Bankart lesion which may explain the current shoulder instability.
